To obtain the needs of the world’s competence in the field of Information Technology expertise, SMK Krian 1 is committed to make Digital Smart Class and “special class” in SMK Krian 1 which have been already running for one year and gaining significant progress. Nowadays, there are a lot of students who want to join the Digital Smart Class. Digital Smart Class is also used as a Training Center for skills competency in Information Technology field for both students and teachers. Digital Smart Class in SMK Krian 1 has skill competency in Software Engineering field. Students will be taught various competencies include:

Digital Smart Class implements sophisticated teaching methods. The classroom is modeled as 21st century classrooms, where students in this classroom learn adaptive material, normative and productive in the room based on technology and interactive, and each class is only filled in by 30 students, which aims students are able to be more focus on learning. Students of Digital Smart Class program are students who thru selection that were selected by using different types of tests, as following:
- Analogies Test.
- Intelligence Tests.
- Computer Base Ability Test.
- Numerical & Accuracy Ability Test.
- Analytical Reasoning Test.
Digital Smart Class also have sophisticated equipment such as Finger Touch Portable Interactive Whiteboard, Eduboard, WPS (Wireless Presentation System), Projectors, etc. In addition, students of Digital Smart Class also get Labjas Static for their experiment in lab which based on International Company Standard. This class is equipped with advanced technology to support student learning that one of them is Eduboard (whiteboard touch screen). By using eduboard, teachers are able to explain the lesson and write by using their fingers. Notes or digital whiteboard’s display will automatically appear on students’ laptop, thereby students can save it in digital files which is ready to be accessed at any time from a variety of gadgets to learn.
Furthermore, teachers can control their students through teacher’s laptop by using management software that can be accessed thru the network. Thus, teachers have control and capable to know what the students do in their laptop. This class also has been paperless which means records, daily tests and exams are already online and can be accessed via PC, laptop, tablet or mobile. All of the learning process both normative, adaptive and productive are conducted in Digital Smart Class, so that all teachers who teach in this class are required to be master in IT.
Each student who entered the Digital Smart Class will also get a Laptop subsidy in the form of Axioo spare parts and the students will assemble them into a laptop that would belong to them. By assembling their own laptops, students are expected to be capable to assemble and install software by themselves after they graduate from this school. Therefore, every student in the Digital Smart Class will definitely has a laptop.
The class is said to be as a special class in SMK Krian 1 because this class has adequate facilities that are all-digital rather than other classes, the materials that are taught have International Companies Standard, in this class, students are also taught Soft Skill material, where this material is useful to develop the students personality to excel and achieve success in the future. In addition, Digital Smart Class also provides Peer Tutor material, where by this Peer Tutor, students are required to be able to teach their friends if their peers are still hard to understand the lesson that is presented by the teacher. Other than that, students who are already selected to become Peer Tutor will also teach their juniors and it is useful for that students to practice their Soft Skill. Digital Smart Class is designed to prepare young Indonesian with IT- minded, so they can compete in work realm today. Students are ready to encounter free trade between countries or Asian Economic Community (AEC).
Moreover, students are entitled to attend the international level competency certification, to get nine certificates with International Company Standard. These are certificates that will be obtained if students passed the competence certification, as following:

- ACP 3 – Hardware Troubleshooting.

Pada masa sekarang ini banyak siswa dan siswi yang ingin bergabung ke dalam Digital Smart Class. Digital Smart Class ini juga menjadi Training Center untuk kompetensi keahlian di bidang IT bagi siswa & guru. Digital Smart Class di SMK Krian 1 memiliki kompetensi keahlian Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak. Siswa akan diajarkan berbagai kompetensi meliputi :

Digital Smart Class mengimplementasikan metode pembelajaran yang serba canggih. Ruang kelas abad 21, dimana siswa kelas ini belajar materi adaptif, normatif dan produktif di ruangan berbasis teknologi dan interaktif, perkelasnya hanya 30 siswa, dengan tujuan siswa bisa semakin fokus dalam pembelajaran. Siswa Digital Smart Class Program adalah siswa pilihan yang diseleksi dengan menggunakan berbagai jenis tes, Diataranya :

- Test Kemampuan dasar komputer.
- Test Kemampuan Numerik & Ketelitian.
- Test Penalaran analitis.

Di samping itu, Digital Smart Class siswa yang belajar di Digital Smart Class juga mendapatkan Labjas Statis untuk praktikum sesuai standar perusahaan internasional. Kelas ini dilengkapi dengan teknologi yang canggih untuk menunjang pembelajaran siswa yang salah satunya adalah Eduboard (papan tulis layar sentuh). Dengan menggunakan eduboard guru dapat menerangkan pelajaran dan menulis dengan hanya menggunakan jarinya saja. Catatan atau tampilan yang ada di papan tulis digital ini secara otomatis akan muncul di laptop siswa dan siswa dapat menyimpannya berupa file digital yang siap di akses kapan saja dari berbagai gadget untuk belajar.
Selain itu guru dapat mengontrol siswanya melalui laptop guru menggunakan software manajemen yang dapat diakses menggunakan jaringan. Dengan demikian guru dapat mengetahui apa saja yang dikerjakan siswa di laptop masing-masing. Kelas ini juga sudah paperless artinya catatan, ulangan harian dan ujian sudah online dan dapat diakses melalui PC, laptop, Tablet atau Handphone. Semua proses belajar mengajar baik normatif, adaptif maupun produktif dilakukan di Digital Smart Class jadi semua guru yang mengajar di kelas ini wajib hukumnya juga menguasai IT.
Setiap siswa yang masuk Digital Smart Class juga akan mendapatkan subsidi laptop yang berupa spare part dari Axioo dan para siswa akan merakitnya menjadi sebuah laptop yang akan menjadi milik siswa tersebut. Dengan merakit laptop sendiri diharapkan siswa setelah lulus dari kelas ini dapat merakit dan melakukan instalasi software sendiri. jadi setiap siswa di Digital Smart Class pasti akan mempunyai laptop.
Kelas ini dikatakan sebagai kelas unggulan di SMK Krian 1 karena kelas ini mempunyai fasilitas yang memadai dan serba digital daripada kelas – kelas yang lainnya, materi yang diajarkan juga berstandart perusahaan internasional, di kelas ini siswa – siswi juga diajarkan materi Soft Skill, di mana materi Soft Skill ini berguna untuk membangun kepribadian siswa – siswi untuk berprestasi dan memperoleh kesuksesan dimasa yang akan datang. Selain itu, Digital Smart Class juga memberikan materi Tutor Sebaya, di mana Tutor Sebaya ini siswa diwajibkan untuk mampu mengajari teman – teman sebayanya jika temannya tersebut belum paham/ mengerti tentang pelajaran/ materi yang disampaikan oleh guru. Di samping itu, siswa yang sudah dipilih menjadi Tutor Sebaya juga akan mengajari adik kelas & berguna juga bagi siswa tersebut untuk melatih Soft Skillnya. Kelas ini adalah hasil kerjasama dan dukungan SMK Krian 1 dengan perusahaan IT internasional, antara lain :

Digital Smart Class ini didesain untuk mempersiapkan generasi muda Indonesia yang berwawasan IT(Information Technologi), sehingga dapat bersaing di dunia kerja saat ini. Siswa bianaanya juga siap mengahadapi perdagangan bebas antar negara atau masyarakat ekonomi asia (MEA).
Selain itu, siswa berhak untuk mengikuti sertifikasi kompetensi taraf internasional, untuk mendapatkan sembilan sertifkat yang berstandart perusahaan internasional. Berikut sertifikat yang didapat siswa apabila lulus sertifikasi kompetensi :
